Every Christian has between 50 and 60 values. We have chosen seven basic values that will be the core of our biblical community. Although many other values will be evident in the church, these seven are the areas on which we feel God is calling us to focus.
Community
Fostering healthy relationships with God, fellow believers, and the world. If we are going to experience
the abundant life Christ offers, we must be a part of the healing process of broken relationships and hurting people, nurturing them
to wholeness and victorious life.
Discipleship/Evangelism
Holding together discipleship and evangelism as inseparable, because
both are to be a natural outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. In love and obedience we share our faith and our lives
with those who don’t yet know Christ. We also nurture and disciple those who begin a relationship with the Lord, continuing
to share our faith and our lives. This is fulfilling the Great Commission.
Holistic Christian Living
Experiencing the fullness of life
because we are more than just spiritual beings. We have a physical body, the ability to think, and the capacity to experience
emotions. Jesus tells us that we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbor
as ourselves. Built on this foundation Jesus also teaches us throughout the gospels that we are to be good stewards of all that
we have been given, which includes our time, talents and treasures. In the book of Romans, we are challenged to offer ourselves
as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is our spiritual act of worship and it stands in opposition to a compartmentalized
life. Therefore, in order to experience the fullness of an intimate personal relationship with God, we must live life holistically.
Equipping
Empowering
Christians to take up their place in the work of the Kingdom; encouraging them to learn, to lead, to serve, and to experience personal
growth.
Worship
Leading Christians to passionately offer themselves to the Lord, both personally and corporately, in response
to God. Personal worship involves an intimate relationship with God reflected in every aspect of a believer's life (holistic). Corporate
worship is to be true to the Word of God and relevant to the lives of people.
Missions
Promoting awareness and involvement in sharing
God's love and grace with our community, country, and world.
Preparing The Next Generation
Helping to prepare children, youth,
and young adults to take leadership in the body of Christ. Equipping parents to raise their children in a loving and secure environment.
